What I can offer you.
I work with adults and children over 8 years. I also specialise in counselling deaf and hard of hearing people, as I am fully qualified in British Sign Language (BSL). I am passionate to enable full accessibility to both hearing and deaf clients, and aim to match your communication needs.
I offer telephone, online (video call) and face-to-face sessions in a lovely, quiet location in a village near Lutterworth. I can provide short, medium or long term one-to one counselling. A counselling session is 50 minutes and can be done in weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions, to meet your needs.
I offer a free 30-minute, no obligation telephone consultation as I feel it’s important that you find the right counsellor for you. This consultation gives you the opportunity for an informal, confidential discussion, to ask questions and explore your expectations for counselling. Please get in touch if you have any questions or to arrange a consultation appointment.
Counselling.
Counselling can really help during times of pain and trauma, when life is just difficult and you feel overwhelmed. Counselling can be a great support for any number of feelings and issues; you may feel anxious, abused, angry, ashamed depressed, distressed, frightened, frustrated, guilty, lonely lost, isolated, sad or traumatised.
I use an integrative model of counselling, with person-centred as the main model. Person centred counselling focuses on the client being the ‘expert’ about themselves. We will work in a balanced healing relationship. Working within an integrated model means that I can use my knowledge of different counselling styles for example, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, to match your needs and provide flexibility during our work together. I undertake continuing professional development and training.
